Expert Preaches Consuming Real Food

A local nutritionist says its time to start eating what she calls "real" food.

Registered holistic Nutritionist Ashley Srokosz encourages making short term meal plans for the week. "It can take as little as five minutes, but if food isn't in your fridge, you aren't going to eat it. You're not going to take the extra time to go to the grocery store and stand in line, because you're going to spend extra money and it'll take up too much time. So have your food in the fridge to eat.

Scrokosz adds people are too preoccupied with how many calories they take in, instead of how many nutrients they should be getting.

According to Scrokosz, "real food" constitutes anything that doesn't have an ingredients list, like a head of broccoli.
