Milder Temperatures Prompt Flood Warning (GALLERY)

With temperatures expected to reach 15 C (59 F) Monday, local conservation authorities are keeping an eye on snow melts and water levels.

McGregor and Indian Creeks are under a flood warning for Monday and Tuesday after water levels rapidly increased over the weekend.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority's Jason Wintermute says they're seeing water levels fluctuate along with temperatures. "You get melting during the day, then that runs off over the afternoon and is peaking in the middle of the night. Then it starts to drop again because of cooler temperatures. So in the morning you'll see water levels down and it will start to rise again."

Meanwhile, Girish Sankar with the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority says they're also keeping an eye on the Sydenham River. "Water levels are on the rise, especially in the lower reaches of the Sydenham River. The levels are almost reaching a top of the bank situation in Dresden and Wallaceburg."

Neither the Thames or Sydenham rivers are expected to flood, though ice conditions on major waterways continue to deteriorate.
