The Wheatley Sharks organization is hoping a community group will agree to take ownership of the team.
A meeting will be held tonight in Wheatley, in the hopes that the Sharks will be community-owned for the first time in five years.
General Manager Kevin Fisher says a low volunteer turnout has put a strain on existing staff. "Basically what is going on now is from a lack of help, support and volunteers, it gets tiresome on the 10-12 people that have to run the hockey club day in, day out."
The meeting is being held tonight at the Wheatley Legion at 7pm.
