Hospice Calls Tenders

The Chatham-Kent Hospice is taking another step forward and has issued tenders.

Building committee chair Jim Laforet says there are some differences between building a hospice and a residential structure.

"When we look at the individual patient room, each one will have its own self contained heating, ventilation, cooling system," he says. "The advantage of getting out early, we are looking to be first on the list with the selected contractor to be able to get into the ground in March, weather permitting and to have construction completed before the end of the year."

The hospice committee expects to award the contract before the end of February.
