Despite what the developer says, it looks like work on the downtown Chatham condo project is moving forward.
A neighbouring business owner says workers have been at the site on a somewhat consistent basis the last couple of weeks. What kind of work they're doing isn't clear, but the business owner says they're not packing up tools or equipment.
Another positive comes from the company contracted for the concrete work, Con-Wall Concrete, who say they've been contacted to have a crane operator on site this week to off-load steel.
Just a few weeks ago, Victor Boutin told BlackburnNews.com he was pulling the plug on the project unless the union got off his back.
