Fair Showcases Job Opportunities

College and university students of southwestern Ontario have 76 employers at their fingertips today.

The 16th annual job fair, put on by St. Clair College and the University of Windsor runs until 2pm, Wednesday.

Second-year Protection Security and Investigation student at St. Clair College Mac Williams hopes today's fair leads him to a job. "I'm just looking for a few opportunities and some more information."

St. Clair Music student Pia Lampitoc says, "I'm learning what I can do better to market myself for these employers. Maybe not get employed today, but at least find out what I need to do to get there."

Nursing student Emily Pare says she's at the fair to gauge what the job market looks like. "I don't really know that much about it because it's new to me, so whatever I can learn here is great."

More than 1,400 students are expected to walk through the doors of the St. Clair Centre for the Arts today.
