Working To Fix Minor Issues

The Town of Lakeshore is working to fix a few deficiencies found at the new Atlas Tube Centre.

The issues include pooling water in the parking lot, ice refrigeration interruptions, poor condition of the walking track and leaks in the roof.

Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain says the contractor's working to quickly address each problem as it arises. "A project like looking at the roof and correcting it may take a little longer, but hopefully they'll be starting right away and get many of them corrected within a week or so."

Bain says the town met its goal of having the facility open in time for the start of the Lakeshore Canadiens season. He explains that they knew the arena complex wasn't 100% complete when it opened, so minor problems had been somewhat anticipated.
