Residents Can't Sway Leamington Council

A pair of residents attempted to convince Leamington Council to reconsider a stop sign placement at Bevel Line and Seacliff Dr. E.

But Mayor John Paterson and the rest of council wouldn't budge.

George Friesen along with John Belan say they've had some close calls at that intersection. "There's still traffic coming the other way from out of town. If there isn't too much traffic then I can go. But that confuses the driver on Bevel Line. Because I'm stopped there, they think they can go," says Friesen.

To possibly reverse the decision, at least one council member who voted against removing the sign would have to change their mind.
