Potential Towing Tender In Leamington

Three tow truck companies in Leamington are looking to make business more competitive when it comes to collision calls.

They've put in a tender request to the Municipality of Leamington. This after OPP collision numbers show from January to September 2014, Sam's Towing received 50 tow calls, Twin Oaks received 28 and Bradt's recieved 24.

Deputy Mayor Hilda MacDonald believes OPP should be actively involved in talks going forward. "I would assume that anyone sitting on the OPP would like to make sure their name is clear; that there is no preferential treatment."

In the end, Leamington Council has told administration to prepare a report looking at a potential tender in the future.
