Remembrance Day Fainting Prompts Adjustments

Lambton-Kent Composite School Principal Scott McKelvie is looking to make scheduling adjustments prior to next year's Remembrance Day ceremony.

This after 15 students felt dizzy and faint during Dresden's downtown event on Tuesday. In total, three students were sent to hospital, and are now resting at home.

Paramedics credit the fainting spells to a lack of food prior to the event, as well as milder temperatures while students walked to the ceremony. "By moving the lunch prior to our departure [next year]," says McKelvie, "Might be something that would help the situation."

One student that was told to go to hospital did end up going home as the result of a decision by their parents.
