Maroons Blank Lincolns

The Chatham Maroons scored their second shutout game of the season, beating the St. Marys Lincolns 4-0.
During Friday night’s game, the Maroons showed that they meant business in the first period by out shooting St. Marys 20-3 and scoring two goals. The Maroons then scored two more in the second and were able to maintain the 4-0 score in the third.
Maroons Head Coach Mark Davis says his team played a good game, but they became complacent in third period.
“We played a very good first period, an okay second, and in the third period we just sat back because we had a 4-0 lead. We have to learn that we can’t do that,” he says. “(But) we got a win. That’s all we wanted.”
Chatham takes on the Sarnia Legionnaires next on Sunday at 7pm.
