The Wallaceburg Lakers suffered a crushing 6-0 defeat against the Lakeshore Canadiens in Junior C hockey action Saturday night.

The Lakers only let in one goal in the first period, but it was in the second when they really let their guard down. Lakeshore was able to make five more unanswered goals before the third period, and neither team scored in the final 20 minutes.

Lakeshore doubled Wallaceburg’s shots 40-20.

Zack Bedard and Nick Tavolieri each scored two for the Canadiens. Connor Goodchild and Liam MacDougall scored the other two.

The Lakers are back on the ice on Wednesday at 7:30pm against the Alvinston Flyers. Lakeshore faces off against the Blenheim Blades on Friday at 7:05pm.
