Warriner Makes Jump To Sportsnet

Blenheim native Todd Warriner has a new job.

The former NHLer and current colour analyst for the Windsor Spitfires has been hired as an in-studio analyst for Sportsnet’s coverage of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).

“The Rogers deal with the NHL is a big one and my friend Mike Johnson who I played with in Toronto, Tampa, Phoenix, and Germany even, recommended me to some of the executives who were picking the brains of former players and guys that were working now with Sportsnet and finding people and former players who could fill these rolls,” says Warriner.

Warriner says the in-studio duties will be Friday nights and Sunday afternoons in Toronto, and hopes to keep his job with the Spitfires and continue as an assistant coach with his son’s Chatham-Kent Minor Atom Cyclones team. Warriner says he just got the call from Sportsnet executives yesterday that he got the job.
