Rash Of Pharmacy Break-Ins Investigated

The Ontario Provincial Police isĀ investigating a rash of pharmacy break-ins and thefts over the past several months.

Police say 13 pharmacies have been targeted across southwestern Ontario, most of them in the early morning hours after midnight.

Investigators remind pharmacists and store owners to lock up all medication, especially narcotics. Those medications are highly sought after by criminals.

Police ask citizens to be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles or people near any pharmacy, and anyone with information about the recent break-ins should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
