Chatham Native Makes OHL Debut

Chatham-Kent native Joseph Raaymakers played his first OHL game with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds as goaltender and didn’t let a puck pass him by.

The undefeated Greyhounds fended off the London Knights 5-0 Sunday afternoon with Raaymakers in the net for the full 60 minutes.

With 31 saves, the 16-year-old gave a stellar performance during his first time in the Ontario Hockey League.

Raaymakers played for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Bantam AAA in 2012-13 and the minor midget league in 2013-14. He was drafted in the second round, 37 overall by the Greyhounds in the OHL priority selection.
