Canada Post is transitioning around 5,000 area residents from door-to-door delivery to community mailboxes in Fall 2015.

Residents in Windsor, Tecumseh and Lakeshore with postal codes starting with N8N, N8P and N9K will be affected by the change.

Canada Post spokesperson John Hamilton says these residents will soon receive a survey in the mail to return to Canada Post. “One of the key questions that’s been really helpful in the communities we’ve converted in 2014 is would you prefer to have a small cluster of boxes located relatively close to your home and your neighbourhood or would you prefer a larger cluster maybe a little bit further away?”

Hamilton says after the initial survey there will be community consultation to determine the best location for the boxes.
