Sharks Take Bite Out Of Lakers

The Wallaceburg Lakers suffered their fourth loss in a row after losingĀ 8-2 to the Wheatley Sharks during Wednesday’s game.
The Sharks crushed the Lakers scoring three goals in the first period, two in the second and a final three in the third. Wallaceburg only managed one goal in the first and one in the third. Despite the loss, Wallaceburg still out-shot Wheatley 39-26.
“We got a lot of stuff to work on still, but I think we got the guys to do it,” he says. “We got a young squad but there’s a lot of little mistakes that are costing us games. If you look at the first three games, those are all hockey games we could have won”
Jimmy Ciacelli was the top scorer for the Lakers with three goals. Calyn Kir and Brian Johnson each scored two, andĀ Antonio Ciampa got one.
The Lakers face off against the Dresden Jr. Kings on Friday.
