Union Gas To Lower Rates

Union Gas customers can expect to see some savings on their bill if all goes as planned.

Union Gas has applied to Ontario Energy Board to lower its rates to all of its customers. You can expect to see a reduction of about 9% or $80 per year for the average bill.

“Last winter was a tough winter for customers across Ontario,” says Union Gas spokesperson Andrea Stass. “It was very cold and natural gas prices increased as a result. We’re seeing those prices reduce now so Union Gas is passing that change through to its customers.”

If approved, the lower rate will go into effect October 1 and will remain until December 31.

Union Gas says it will be notified in the coming weeks if the change has been approved by the Ontario Energy Board.
