Taking Time Helps Productivity

An agronomist with Dupont Pioneer is reminding farmers that even though they are very busy, attending crop and soil information meetings is worth making time for.

Morris Sagriff says equipment and farms are not only bigger than ever before they are more complicated, so it is important to keep up.

“There isn’t a person alive that doesn’t need a good mentor or a good coach,” he says. “I know farmers are trying to do the best they can, but there’s a lot going on, on these operations today.”

Sagriff says the evolution in equipment like planters, and cultivation equipment means there is the potential for much greater yields than ever before, but some of that potential can be improved even more with some of the procedures typically discussed at cropping meetings.
