Training camp is underway for the Windsor Lancers Men’s Hockey program.

Although a number of players are returning, Head Coach Kevin Hamlin says it’s not going to be easy defending the Queen’s Cup. “We recruited very hard and, I think, very well this summer. It’s going to be a pretty interesting year. Whenever you win that championship, you win that last game, there’s a big target on your back and we know that we’re not going to catch anybody off guard. Teams are going to be ready for us.”

Hamlin says former Windsor Spitfires captain Saverio Posa is expected to bolster a strong defence, while the team’s added recruits like former WHL’er Daulton Siwak.

The Lancers’ regular season kicks off on October 1, as they host the Guelph Gryphons.
