The Spitfires are adding some experience to their roster through a trade with the Kingston Frontenacs.

Coming to Windsor is overage defenceman Slater Doggett in exchange for London’s 12th round draft pick in 2015.

At 6’0”, 190 lbs., Doggett’s played two seasons in Kingston, tallying 10 goals, 32 assists, and 84 penalty minutes.

Spits GM Warren Rychel says he’s a versatile player. “He (Slater) played primarily defence with Kingston last year, but he also played left wing in the past, so he’s a good veteran option for us at a few positions. He will add leadership and experience to the club.”
