Burger King’s proposed purchase of Tim Hortons doesn’t spell the end of the Canadian icon.
Professor of Marketing at the University of Windsor Peter Voyer doesn’t think there will be big changes.
“Frankly from a consumer perspective, I don’t think it’s a particularly big deal,” reveals Voyer. “I think largely this is being done for financial reasons, ownership reasons, strategic reasons. A consumer perspective I think it will be largely invisible to the consumer.”
Voyer says you won’t see Tim Hortons coffee in Burger King restaurants or hamburgers at Tim Hortons.
