Money Covers WDSS Upgrades

The Lambton Kent District School Board won’t be out of pocket for upgrades to the Wallaceburg District High School.

Director of Education Jim Costello says the provincial government is handing over $2.25-million for the work.

“We’ll have Grade 7 and 8 added into the high school. To do that, we’ve had to reclaim some space we leased out to St. Clair College and that space had to be retrofitted,” notes Costello. “We’re also touching up the library and machine shops into a fitness centre and fixing up the track.”

Costello says the track hasn’t been usable for the past couple of years. The classrooms are done, the other work will be done over the next year.
