Meth User Busted Again

A Wallaceburg man is in custody for the second time in two days for possession of methamphetamine.

Police say the 44-year-old was arrested during a drug raid on Wallace St. in Wallaceburg on Tuesday. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and released with several conditions.

Officers were checking up on the man yesterday when he was seen walking on Murray St. in Wallaceburg. When he saw the officers he fled on foot and hid in a bush. After a short foot pursuit he was arrested for violating his conditions. Investigators found him to be in possession of a clear plastic bag of suspected crystal meth, valued at $3,000.

He has been charged with failing to comply, escape lawful custody and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
