Caesars To Host LGBT Travel Conference
The general manager of Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is thrilled to finally announce the Travel Gay Canada Conference is coming to Caesars Windsor.
Gordon Orr says he’s been trying to attract the conference since the first one was held in 2009. “Anytime you can lure a conference, no matter what the subject matter, it’s very, very important,” says Orr. “But when it’s on the heels of doing something that’s in partnership, that you’ve been working towards for a number of years, it’s that much more pleasurable.”
Travel Gay Canada says gay and lesbian tourism is worth $8.5-billion a year, and LGBT tourists typically spend twice as much as the general population on vacation.
The conference October 23-25 is expected to attract 120 delegates.
