Chatham Maroons hopefuls are lacing up their skates and hitting the ice this weekend.

The team is holding its annual camp at Memorial Arena. Head Coach and General Manager Mark Davis says even players who made the team last year aren’t safe.

“If they come back and don’t work hard, one of these kids that are out there working the hardest will take their spot,” says Davis. “Everybody has to come out and work hard and try to make the hockey club.”

The camp runs from 10am-2pm Saturday and Sunday during which time fans are welcome to come out and watch. After that, the team will make cuts and hold a more intensive camp.
