New Location For Salvation Army
The Salvation Army says its new Raleigh St. facility in Chatham is drawing more clients.
The organization has been in the new building for three weeks after outgrowing its old Harvey St. location. Come fall, the Salvation Army will offer enhanced services at the new family centre.
“Cooking classes and financial literacy are the main ones, we’re opening up a computer lab as well,” says Captain Stephanie Watkinson. “The clients love it, it’s brighter and got more room. We’re seeing new people coming in that we had not seen. People know where we are and they’re accessing their services.”
The old Harvey St. location will be put up for sale in the coming weeks.
