OPP Technology Nabs Suspended Driver
A suspended Chatham driver is off the road and facing charges thanks to some new OPP technology.
A patrol car equipped with an automated license plate scanner picked-up a hit on a suspended driver in a Ford pick-up yesterday afternoon. The officer subsequently stopped the truck on Hwy. 40 near River Line.
It turns out the driver’s licence was suspended, the vehicle was uninsured and the validation tag on the licence plate had expired.
50-year-old Jacabo Guenther of Chatham now has a September 17th court date to answer to the charges.
