Softball Team Ranked 2nd

A Chatham girls softball team is making waves across Ontario.

The Golden Eagles Mite travel team is made up of nine and 10-year-old girls.

“The girls have worked really, really hard, and have the ability to play some very competitive ball,” says Head Coach Bryan Depencier. “Right now we’re currently ranked second in the province, so we’ve got our upcoming provincials and hopefully we can advance that one more step.”

The team will play in the provincial tournament August 15 to the 17 on Coburg.
