Aiming At Opera Career
An 11-year-old Chatham boy is building a career in Opera.
Will Ebere has had roles in several operas staged in Toronto after getting the bug locally.
“I like to sing and then I went to the Capitol Theatre for Carmina Burana and once I heard the soprano sing, I decided I want to do opera one day,” he explains. “There are a lot more (child) roles than people think, people always think the old man, or the old lady singing it, but there is always a role somewhere even if it is a children’s chorus.”
In addition to professional operas, Ebere has also performed in several fundraising events and is trained in musical theatre.
