Busy Leamington Sidewalk Sale

The annual Leamington Sidewalk Sale has roads in the uptown area closed today.
The event hosted by the uptown BIA features sales at different stores, entertainment, and a kids area.
BIA Chair Sean Bodel expects it to be a busy weekend. “Last year sales were up 20% – 30%. It’s very dependent on weather but other than that it has been going well. The addition of Mosaic should help as well.” Mosaic is a cultural festival put on by the South Essex Community Council, featuring 14 ethnic restaurants. Local multi-cultural clubs are also part of the event.
Road closures include Talbot St. from Victoria Ave. west to Albert St. and Erie St. from John St. south to Russel St.
