This year’s sour cherry crop is only about half the size of a regular season.

Delhaven Orchards owner Hector Delanghe says the quality is good and there’s no reason to panic.

“People think the cherries are going to be short. They aren’t,” says Delanghe. “The only thing is fresh is only going to be available this week. Next week it will be frozen. There’s a good supply of sour cherries.”

Delanhge says the quality of the crop is good this year.
