Evon Wins at Kingsville

Windsor’s Bryce Evon continued his winning streak, shooting a 7 under 65 to win the Kingsville stop on the Jamieson Junior Golf Tour. The victory is his fourth straight on the tour.

Ridgetown’s Jakob Wanger shot an 81 to finish tied for 22nd.

On the girls’ side, Tavia Maurovic scored a 78 to edge out Melanie Burgess. Jasmine Ly finished 3rd with an 81 but still leads the standings by one point.

The event was the first leg of the two-day Pickering Cup. Winners will earn a performance star for the American Junior Golf Association.
