Preparing For Communities In Bloom
Chatham-Kent is gearing up for the Communities in Bloom judges.
The judges will be arriving next Saturday , July 26 and will spend four days touring the community.
“They’re looking for community involvement and anything that makes it a better community, so blossoming, flourishing and growing to our full potential,” says local coordinator Monica Moore. “They’re looking at environmental conservation, they’re looking at heritage preservation, and then of course, your beautification and tidiness.”
Moore encourages residents pamper your flowers, trim your lawn, and pick up any litter.
Chatham-Kent is competing in the international category this year along with Sarnia, and the London borough of Richmond upon the Thames in the UK.
