Kingsville Golfer Hopes Positive Results Continue

A 17-year-old Kingsville golfer says her hard work and determination have paid off.
Alyssa Getty shot a course record of four-under par 68 at Chatham’s Maple City Country Club during the Investors Group Ontario Junior Girls’ Championship this past week. The young golfer also tied for second place at two over, after scoring a 74.
Getty says setting the course record at Maple City was a real honour.
“It’s good to know that hard work pays off, that I’m seeing positive results this summer and hopefully they will continue,” she says. “I wish I could have played a little bit better, but I’m happy with how I scored.”
Getty will compete next at the Canadian Junior Girls Championship in Thornhill on July 29-August 1.
