A whirlwind summer is about to get even busier for Chatham’s Bridget Carleton.

It all began for the 17-year-old with a trip to the Czech Republic with the Canadian National under-17 women’s basketball team for the World Championships.

“It’s definitely fun playing with the best players from all over the country, and then playing against the players from around the world,” says Bridget. “It’s really hard to put into words, but it’s definitely a lot of fun.”

The team finished sixth at the tournament.

Starting today, the 6’1″¬†shooting guard will spend the next few weeks at the try-outs for the Canadian Junior Women’s National Team at Durham College.
