Keil Drive Bridge Repairs

You can expect lane reductions and traffic jams on the Keil Dr. Bridge until the end of August.

The repair work is expected to result in the full closure of the bridge at some point, but it is unclear when exactly that will be.

“Traffic through the structure will be maintained Monday through Friday and most weekends. It will be reduced to one lane in each direction. There will be a couple of weekends where it will be completely closed late Friday night through Monday morning,” says Manager of Infrastructure and Engineering Stephen Jahns, who notes the importance of keeping it open as much as possible. “The Parry Bridge is a pretty integral piece of our transportation network and we need to have it in place and functioning when the traffic is there for it.”

The Keil Dr. Bridge (Parry Bridge) runs over the Thames River and is one of the most used bridges in Chatham. The repairs are set to cost the municipality $265,000.
