Suspicious Man Offers Kids Candy

Police are warning of a suspicious man who was spotted offering children candy in the area of Turquoise Ct. in Chatham.

Investigators say the incident happened between noon and 1pm on Wednesday, July 2. The man disappeared when parents went looking for him after learning what had happened.

He is described as being an older white male with white hair and a full beard. He was shirtless and wearing dark blue jean shorts. Police say the suspicious man had several visible tattoos.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Police arrested a 36-year-old man after a complaint of another suspicious male in the area of Michener Ave. north of Grand Ave. E. in Chatham. Investigators say he was was reported around 6am on Thursday, July 3 and arrested a short time later on outstanding warrants.

On Monday, June 30 police reported another suspicious male was also spotted watching kids play at Chatham’s Kingston Park. He left the scene in a two-door white KIA vehicle.
