Wayne Schnabel is stepping down from the Ontario Hockey Association.

He’s stepping down from his position as vice chairman of the OHA, and is becoming the director of hockey operations for the Blenheim Blades.

“When I was approached by Wayne Cowell, who’s now the general manager of the Blades, to take on this position I jumped at it,” says Schnabel. “That was just an opportunity to get back involved in my local community, and I just love that kind of thing so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Schnabel had been with the OHA for seven years and was an official before that.
