Summer Weather Looks Normal

“Boy, when it comes to weather, normal is beautiful,” says Environment Canada senior climatologist David Phillips.
He says residents in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent can expect pretty typical summer. The temperatures may be a little above typical seasonal values, but not by much.
Phillips admits precipitation can be harder to predict, but says the models suggest that too will be normal.
May and June have been wetter than usual, but Philips says we can’t complain too much. “All of the rain has fallen during the week days and not the weekends,” he says. “In the 15 Saturdays and Sundays and one Holiday Monday since May 1, I think you’ve had only two wet weekend days.”
