Home Sales Edge Up
Residential sales in Chatham-Kent were up slightly in May and it looks like more people are in a selling mood.
A total of 131 units were sold last month, that’s just two more than the 129 that were sold in May 2013.
At the same time, 285 new units were listed, marking a 17% increase from May 2013. Chatham-Kent Association of REALTORS President Ron Smith says that could be due to the cold weather delaying the spring market.
The average price of homes sold was virtually the same as it was in May 2013 at $153,584.
