Catholic Student Trustees Appointed

Two student leaders are officially set to represent their respective high schools for the St. Clair Catholic District School Board. Grade 11 student Christopher Anthony will represent St. Patrick’s in Sarnia, while Katie Shillington will represent Ursuline College in Chatham.

Ann Sutton, superintendent of education, says the trustees bring the voice of the Catholic student to the table.

“They bring the concerns we may not think of,” says Sutton. “We look at things through the eyes of an adult. We can try to think of the impact on a student, but we sometimes can miss things.”

Both Anthony and Shillington won elections at their schools, which earned them their appointments.
