Suspect Still Behind Bars

A 20-year-old Walpole Island man facing an attempted murder charge is being held in police custody until his next court appearance.
He was arrested after a fight at a hotel on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg early Tuesday morning that sent a 19-year-old man to hospital in critical condition.
At this point, no names are being released. The accused is set to appear in court on Wednesday, May 28.
There’s no word from police on the current condition of the 19-year-old man who is in hospital.
