RetroFest Organizers Expect Record Breaker

A slight change for the 12th annual RetroFest in Chatham.
The two-day event kicks-off tonight with the OLG Classic Car Cruise. And Nancy Labadie with the Downtown Chatham Historic BIA Board of Directors says that’s where they’ve made a slight adjustment.
“It’s pretty exciting since we’ve changed the route where we have the cars going in two directions in the downtown once they get there,” says Labadie. “So you have a lot more exposure, a lot more opportunity to see some of the vehicles that are showcased in that cruise.” The cruise starts at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre at 7pm and is likely to enter downtown Chatham around 7:30pm with over 500 cars expected. In addition, the Disney movie Planes will be shown in Tecumseh Park at dusk.
On Saturday, free events include the annual car show, a soap box derby, face painters, and the RE/MAX hot air balloon is giving rides (weather permitting).
