More Flooding Possible

Officials with the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority are keeping a close eye on the sky and the river.

With weather forecasts calling for more rain and possibly thunderstorms, officials are warning that areas around the Thames River could be in for more flooding.

Water Management Supervisor Jason Wintermute says water levels have receded for the moment, but adds the ground is still wet with little room to absorb more rainfall.

Wintermute says if the region receives a high amount of rainfall over the next couple of days, low lying areas could flood again, similar to what happened late last week.
