Police Chief For The Day

A couple of Grade 5 students are acting as honourary police chiefs for the day.
Both Hanna DeClark and Brett Harrogate are the winners of this year’s “If I were Chief of Police” writing contest. The two will spend the day at the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters downtown.
“I could arrest the bad guys so there wouldn’t be any bad guys in the town and Chatham would be a better place to live in,” says Harrogate, who notes he would focus on cyber bullying. “I’d tell people to not do it because you can get in trouble with the police and you can get suspended from school. When you say bad things online and it goes through the Internet and everyone can see it, it makes the other kid who was cyber bullied feel bad.”
The two met with Police Chief Dennis Poole this morning.
