Supporting Women Entrepreneurs
The federal government is putting out a call for proposals for projects that will help women entrepreneurs.
During a visit to Windsor, Dr. Kellie Leitch, minister of the status of women, announced the fund for projects to increase access to economic and mentoring opportunities and increase financial literacy.
Leitch says she is confident supporting these women will stimulate the economy and create jobs. “We are very flexible, we have a set of criteria and we look at that criteria that’s brought in so that we can fund the best proposals that are community based projects from across the country.”
The deadline for proposals is in six weeks, the full criteria for the proposals can be found on the ministry’s website.
