Thirty reactivation/rehabilitation beds are coming to the Hotel-Dieu Grace Tayfour Campus thanks to some funding from the provincial government.

A total of $8.25-million is being allocated for the beds, which are part of the new REACT Unit at the Prince St. facility in Windsor.

VP of Clinical Programs Janice Kaffer says this is a first step. “We have to talk about what exactly does the population needs mean for programming,” says Kaffer. “Do we need all in-patient beds? Do we need to think about a combination with day hospital beds?”

Construction and programming decisions will take place over the next few months.
