A Chatham runner is reflecting on an emotional run at the Boston Marathon.

Pam Taffeiren was running for the first time in Boston and says it was very cool to see runners who didn’t get to finish the race last year, complete the course.

“Some that were injured last year too, they were out on the course, huge support for them,” says Taffeiren. “Just being a part of these people taking back their Boston Marathon, it was very powerful, powerful run, powerful event this year.”

Taffeiren ran a personal best 3:14.33, fast enough to qualify her for next year’s Boston Marathon. She was one of seven runners to compete this year from Chatham-Kent.
