OHA Turning Down GOJHL Proposal

The Ontario Hockey Association is denying the GOJHL in turning from a Junior ‘B’ class league, to Junior ‘A.’
It says there’s little to no rationale or information provided in the league’s reclassification application.
The OHA adds that it sees no reason to bump the current 22-team Junior ‘A’ class to 49 teams.
It thinks having two rival leagues in the same category, operating under different rules and regulations, would not be in the best interest of hockey in Ontario.
